Aparna received her Bachelor's Degree in physical therapy from Sancheti Institute College of Physiotherapy, Pune, India and graduated with a Master’s degree in physical therapy from Loma Linda University. She furthered her education by completing Doctor of Physical Therapy from University of Montana. Aparna has over 16 years of experience practicing as a PT. As a PT, she is passionate about partnering with her patients while helping them alleviate their pain, improving their quality of life, and facilitating their return to their cherished activities.
While working with chronic pain patients, she discovered her passion for pelvic floor dysfunctions. Furthermore, after her 2nd pregnancy she herself underwent pelvic floor issues and as a result understood the impact it can have on one’s quality of life. This experience underscored the significant gap in addressing pelvic floor dysfunctions within the medical system, highlighting the need for improved pelvic care.
Aparna also has had her fair share of other musculoskeletal issues which were greatly managed by Yoga and physical therapy. These personal experiences along with her thorough knowledge about human body helps her in establishing meaningful connections with her patients. Her treatment consists of a holistic approach, integrating the mind-body connection and collaborating with other like-minded healthcare providers to provide well deserved care for her patients. She enjoys applying the knowledge of biomechanics, anatomy, movement analysis, manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, yoga, MELT and Pilates. Her treatment philosophy that integrates empathy is ‘to treat every patient as a whole person.’ Empathy has been at the core of her practice from the beginning all along.
Aparna is always striving for excellence and focuses on an evidence-based practice. She firmly believes that continuing her education and staying updated on new treatments and technologies is essential in maintaining a methodical approach.

When she is not helping her patients, she loves spending time with her husband and her two sons with whom she resides in La Crescenta. She is also a practitioner of Iyengar Yoga, which she has been practicing for 9 years. In her free time she enjoys hiking, meditation, reading and travelling.
